There’s a verse in Matthew twenty-eight
Spoken by the Lord; and it carries weight
In this chapter; in verse nineteen
The Lord Jesus sets up the scene
Go therefore and make disciples
Is his command; it is not a typo
Go into the world; go to all the nations
Preach my words to the populations
Baptize them so they can be restored
Do all this in the name of the Lord
For the Father, Son and Spirit too
Have commanded you to preach the good news
Teach them to observe all things
This command goes out from the King of kings
And I will be with you always
Even to the end of the age
Preach the gospel; don’t hesitate
Preach the Word before it’s too late
One hundred and fifty thousand will die
Before you go to sleep each night
So preach the gospel like a preacher
Teach my words to every creature
Run this race; share what God has done
Teach the nations about God’s Son!
